Read Your Bible Lately?

Pleading to spare the city

Then he said, “May the Lord not be angry, but let me speak just once more. What if only ten can be found there?”

He answered, “For the sake of ten, I will not destroy it.”

Genesis 18:32

  1. How about we plead with God to destroy both the GOP and the Democrats? We could then install term limits and start over with citizens instead of the current career politicians in office whom are completely disconnected and unconcerned with the needs of their constituents.

I say this tongue in cheek…
    …kind of …

    1. We just experienced 4 years of installing someone who wasn’t a ‘career politician’. I don’t think trying it out on a different third of our Federal Government’s going to have the desired effect. Unfortunately, time and time again, when Citizens are asked about their opinion of the whole of congress it’s generally negative. If asked about their actual Representative, it’s generally positive.

When I see or hear “career politician”, all I think of is ‘Professional that knows how to do their job’

  2. And those ten will be primaried out and-or voted out by the gibbering Deliverance-mutant voting base of the party in 2022. Can he destroy them then? I’d be cool with seeing Lynne Cheney turned into a pillar of salt if she looks back.

  3. The few Republicans with a conscience should become the future party leaders. But first the party will have to return to being the Republican Party from the Party of Trump.

    These facts will stand.

    Impeachment was bipartisan.

A bipartisan majority of the Senate will vote to convict.

After that it will be courtroom juries and plea bargaining for the dishonored and repudiated worst president ever.
