Rep. Cori Bush Denounces White Supremacy – Booed by Republicans

found online by Burr

I’m happy to have voted for Cori Bush in November

From Common Dreams:

Freshman Democratic Congresswoman Cori Bush of Missouri, who is black, was openly booed by Republican lawmakers Wednesday after she denounced white supremacy on the House floor while explaining why she would vote in favor of impeaching President Donald Trump for inciting a violent mob to attack the U.S. Capitol building last week.

Watch:

Before being booed on the House floor, Bush said, “If we fail to remove a white supremacist president who incited a white supremacist insurrection, it’s communities like Missouri’s 1st District that suffer the most. The 117th Congress must understand that we have a mandate to legislate in defense of black lives.”

Coming nose to nose with a lynch mob can clarify thinking

Riot, Voter fraud, Riot, Constitution Fraud, Riot, Headlines, Riot, Poor Dears

  • It seems like forever ago. We were stunned by Trump’s interference with ballot counting in Georgia. And who knows where else? But, in Ant Farmer’s Almanac, we finally get the other side of the story. Voter fraud happened, and Trump has the proof.

  • Andy Borowitz analyzes my president’s reasoning: the Constitution is invalid because it was signed by dead people. Ah ha! Signing Fraud!

  • Tommy Christopher brings us a photo array of news headlines about the Trump riot in the Capitol Building: headlines in the US and around the world.

  • Max’s Dad has the best rants on the internet. This week he has a lot to rant about. He seems somewhat unimpressed with the would-be-revolutionaries who trashed the Capitol building, smashing a police officer with a fire extinguisher, a police officer who later died.

  • PZ Myers has insight into the outlook from the inside of what he calls the recent half-assed rebellion.

Egged on by each other into a delusion of widespread support, the rioters thought it would be a fun gathering of righteous effort. The reaction outside their mutual admiration gathering will include ultra-serious legal consequence, and a lot less support than they comprehend just now.

  • Frances Langum listens to Ainsley Earhardt of Fox fame, as she tries to explain how the frightened supporters of Trump act out because they are worried about the country’s future, scared they will not be heard. Frances isn’t prepared to provide therapeutic hugs.

  • My long time conservative friend Darrell Michaels finally returns (Yay‑y‑y‑y!) to Unabashedly American, urging peace and prayer among conservatives. After all, those on the right should not become violent extremists like us godless Marxists on the left.

Well! That should quell the disturbances.
Sheesh! 2021 has been a long couple of years!
