Biden, Democrats, GOP Lies, Flags,
India, COVID, Fraud , Light My Pickle
- In this uncertain world, some things are always predictable.
In 1963, President John F. Kennedy was informed that the Republican National Committee had adopted a resolution
“saying you were pretty much of a failure.”
Laughter filled the room as Kennedy responded:
I’m sure it was passed unanimously.
In spite of what us lefties who drink the commie koolaid might think, my long time friend Darrell, at Unabashedly American, and other real Americans know that Biden wants to allow immigrant Democrats to cross the southern border legally, that the administration has caused gas shortages, that the President has emboldened evil regimes around the world – authoritarians that very tough Trump had kept under control, including Putin, and the list goes on and on and on until, because of Democrats, everything has generally gone to hell.
It’s almost as if Darrell couldn’t come up with anything convincing, so he throws every conceivable accusation his imagination can contrive, in case anything might take hold.
Finally, he wonders how long before our flag consists of
a white hammer and cycle.
Yup. White hammer and cycle.
Kind of like the label on a box of Harley Davidson Baking Soda.
If he had thought of it, he might have added that since Biden had taken office, my friend had lost his car keys.
So, in his mind’s eye, the failure passes unanimously.
- Vixen Strangely at Strangely Blogged, is irritated by Republican lying liars and the lies they tell (I know. I stole that from Al Franken). But she advises Democrats generally and Biden specifically on the best way to deal with the lies, and the lying liars who repeat them.
- Prominent conservatives never tire of making accusations, but this one has some validity. Andy Borowitz reports on Republican claims that President Biden is artificially inflating his job-approval rating by displaying competence.
- North Carolina pastor John Pavlovitz explains why we don’t see a ton of Biden flags, Biden decals, or Biden bumper stickers on big wheel pickups. Has something to do with having more need for building thoughtful, intelligent government than building altars to a golden Trump idol.
- In Letters from an American, Heather Cox Richardson looks to the polls and finds that President Biden is gaining traction. Once-upon-a-president Trump is gliding downward, while Republicans don’t just shoot themselves in their feet, they go all nuclear from knee to toe. In Maricopa County, Arizona, they go on snipe hunts for bamboo slivers.
- Americans have been pessimists about the direction of the country for years. Ted McLaughlin at jobsanger looks at the trends and discovers a bit of what might be a reversal, with those thinking the country is on the right track edging up above those saying we’re on the wrong track …by a margin of Holy Mother of Mercy!
- Iron Knee at Political Irony asks whether vaccines actually work, and answers his own question with well, Duh.
- Michigan rolls back mask requirements for fully vaccinated people, and @momwino98 reacts:

- The Black Death in fourteenth century Europe was ghastly. Infidel753 says those times carry lessons beyond our current pandemic, a lesson on how workers may gain a new economic advantage and a lesson on how the Democratic Party may rediscover its soul.
- Hackwhackers reminds us of the horrible humanitarian tragedy still going on in India.

About That Violent Overthrow
Documented reminder:
The January 6 Capitol riot was not the first time violence was presented as a political tactic.
One week before the last national election, Representative Majorie Taylor Greene explained on video to hesitant right-wingers, that they had to vote, because if they lose the election they will need to join with her in political violence:
The only way you get your freedoms back is it’s earned with the price of blood.

Tyranny of Socialized Medicine
Hi I’m in Australia and saw a specialist this morning, gave them my Medicare card and by 9pm the rebate showed up in my bank account oooh socialized medicine is terrifying I have no freedom please help me
— Ben Lee (@benleemusic) May 10, 2021
But those parking prices!
Canadian hospitals oughta be ashamed!
Price gouging is what it is; just ask any Conservative in my province that uses it to justify supporting an American-style health model so that hospitals can lower their parking prices.🤨 pic.twitter.com/VhlRj3FuK0— She'sComeUndone (@THCobbPHC) May 11, 2021
American living in New Zealand. Socialized medicine is so bad here, the other day my kid woke up with a sore throat and had to wait until 2pm to see her GP. Completely unacceptable! #brokensystem

American here! I have post-COVID heart problems and anytime my BP goes below 90/60 (which is at least 2x a week) I'm supposed to fo to the ER! Instead I curl up in bed, drink some Gatorade, and try not to die.
Isn't America just the best? You must be so jealous of us! 🙃— DrDFox (@DrDFox1) May 11, 2021
FWIW, Australians might not be aware that freedom has a different meaning in the US. In the US having freedom means "you're free to die by the side of the road due to the lack of basic health care."

Yeah, sure, the socialised health care is great but we can't even go to a Walmart and buy a high powered assualt rifle. Who will protect our freedoms?

About Those Fake Vaccination Cards
can we just reflect on the fact that there are people buying fake vaccination cards so they can travel, but they’re the same people that frown upon undocumented immigrants that get fake documents to work & provide for their families

COVID COVID Hoax Hoax, Evil Vaccines, Mask Assaults, Passports, Musicals
- @momwino98 knows how to Post-Vaccine PARTY!!!

- I sometimes tell folks that I’ll be happy when the COVID hoax is over so I can stop injecting household cleaning products. Usually I’ll get a courtesy laugh, or at least a sympathy chuckle.
Iron Knee at Political Irony takes on those who militantly refuse mere evidence, a few even getting sick drinking bleach, and takes a brief look at the hoax hoax.
- Okay, this is a new one. PZ Myers finds what just might be the stupidest reason ever not to get the jab. RNA will replace DNA which starts with D and so does Door. Besides, RNA starts with R and so does …wait for it… Ra.
Well, that settles it.
- There are rules, and there are masks, and there are those who resist both. In MadMikesAmerica Michael John Scott points to major airlines who object, arrest-and-heavy-fines-type object, to occasional passengers who assault attendants.
- Conservatives are angry at vaccines. And they are especially angry at the idea that some businesses might want proof their patrons have been vaccinated. There is some contradiction here. Conservatives have always been opposed to government telling businesses how to operate.
But Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is insistent. Businesses operating in Florida must not be allowed to require vaccine passports which is what conservatives are calling the little cards we get along with the jab.
Frances Langum takes a look at how one industry will be reacting. Cruise lines expect business to wayyy drop off if they can’t guarantee passengers that they won’t get infected by vaccine-deniers.
Let’s break this down:- Cruises happen on very large marine craft.
- Boats have rudders.
- Cruise ships can steer to other states that allow them to keep passengers safe.
SOOooo… can we all do what DeSantis has trouble doing, and think of what might happen to Florida’s cruise industry?

- In Letters from an American, Heather Cox Richardson provides a bit of background on what happened just before President Biden’s address to Congress.
- Most of America saw the Biden speech as uplifting, showcasing an America on the mend, achieving new heights. Libertarian Michael A. LaFerrara saw something different. He attacks the President’s presentation for its irrational pessimism. No kidding. That’s what he says.
- Ted McLaughlin at jobsanger watches the polls. The public sees President Biden as more moderate than Barack Obama. Ted doesn’t much mind that.
- The Borowitz Report uncovers an explosive video revealing a Biden plot to use his powers to improve living conditions.
- John Scalzi at Whatever sees President Biden as boring as all hell, and regards it as one of his best secret weapons.
- Wisconsin conservative James Wigderson posts one of the cleverest takedowns while clearing a Democrat of wrongdoing. Congressional Representative Ron Kind (D-WI) is wrongly accused.
However, while the GOP is hoping to use this against Kind, there does not seem to be any allegations that Kind did anything wrong. Certainly not on the level of some other politicians.
Followed by For example, it’s not as if Kind was arrested for … then a list of Democratic scandals. Clever. Well played.
Should inspire others to provide similar links about solicitation of minors and sex abuse cover ups.
- The Propaganda Professor remembers the old Southern joke about someone living many years before learning that “damn” and “yankee” were two separate words, then reminds us why librulmedia is less a word than a myth.

What Will It Take to Get Biden to Go Bi‑Partisan
Republicans have publicly demanded that our President cooperate.
They have gone on record, explaining the extreme lengths they will travel to force Biden go bi‑partisan.
One Congressional Representative went further than anyone else, even resorting to this:
Rep. Troy Nehls (R-Tex.): I want to help with the criminal justice reform. I want to be part of that. So I don’t know how to reach out to you, but I have the experience.
President Biden: I’ll reach out to you. pic.twitter.com/mTsMotxubl
