In a Newsmax segment about "social media censorship" against the MyPillow Guy, Pillow Guy continued to spread false conspiracies about voting machines, leading the anchor to interrupt him, read a disclaimer, try to get the producers to get him off the air, and storm off the set pic.twitter.com/QMzOosVSD1
Pretty much as expected, really. We were promised a wave of executive orders, and we got them. We were promised time to think about things not relating to an idiot tinpot wannabe dictator, and we got that.
And if Republicans didn’t exactly promise they would try to sweep the Capitol siege under the rug, we’re not surprised we’re getting that, too.
We don’t know exactly where things will be going until the next election — next year! — but the lines are being drawn. Republicans will be pushing themselves even farther off the ledge, looking like Wile E. Coyote standing in midair the moment before he drops into the canyon. This won’t be a problem for “safe” districts — Marjorie ain’t going away — but you can’t win whatever remains of the center being the Party of Traitors.
So there’s something not yet settled: Who remains a Republican after this?
We have now learned from Marjorie Taylor Greene, the newly elected Republican who has already cemented her place as the Alexandria Ocasio Cortez of stupid right wing racists, that the massive wildfires that plagued California last summer were actually caused by Jews shooting the forests with lasers from space. Yes, that is actually what she claims, and no, it does not seem to bother any other Republicans that a sick, hate filled lunatic like her can retain her seat in Congress.
The purpose of this attack from space, according to this malignant racist, was to burn the forest from the routes of the proposed high speed rail system in California, which is, as we all know, a massive priority for Jews all over the world, right after a Challah in every house for Shabbat, and enough Christian baby blood to give a rich flavor to Passover matzos.
The REPUBLICAN Governor of West Virginia tells Joe Manchin that the Covid crisis is so dire, that it doesn’t make sense to be “fiscally responsible at this point in time.”
West Virginia’s Republican Governor made headlines on CNN this morning.
Jim Justice told Poppy Harlow that Washington needs to forget about “fiscal responsibility” when it comes to a Covid package. The need is too great to be counting pennies and squeezing nickels: “…trying to be, per se, fiscally responsible, at this point in time, with what we’ve got going on in this country, if we actually throw away some money right now, so what? We have really got to move and get people taken care of.”
Maybe “Democrat” Joe Manchin could take a hint from his state’s Republican Governor that the time for obstruction to the Biden Covid Package is over.
The party that remains loyal to a criminal enterprise stays intact. Threatening its members with the courage to do whats right, put country over party and willing to wisely move on, with repercussions is really cowardly. But because of the fear of violent insurrectionists not in prison and the death threats from same, these Republican cowards bow to the will of a loser living in Florida. Its sad. Its scary. And it must be dealt with. Nuke them Chuck Schumer NOW
The fact 45 Republicans in the Senate expressed support for a man who started a violent riot, put out a hit on every single one of them , and would have killed them all been given the chance, is pathetic. Where is these peoples self esteem? While they continue to prop up a liar and a traitor, the country slides back into shithole status , a status I never thought I’d see again. Again, Nuke Them Now Chuck.
Unity? Unity? A party of turncoats, a party still bootlicking a con artist, a party that lost all 3 branches of government, demands “unity? Who wants to unify with Nazis? Who wants to unify with the likes of Loren Boebert or Tommy Tuberville? I’d rather unify with a rabid racoon. The GOP lost. They were crushed because of an Orange Ox they still bow to. Yet they want to unify? Sure they do. Nuke Them Now Chuck!
Private funding of political campaigns is one of the best ways for citizens to keep politicians accountable to those they seek to govern. Politicians should have to go to the citizens, hat-in-hand, to ask for money to finance their campaigns. The Democrats’ want to take that accountability away, and give politicians free reign to grab their money away without their consent.
The pattern of history is clear. The monster has risen again and again. Evil has been piled upon evil.
Nixon failed to cover up his crimes, resigned, and was pardoned.
The Republican Party was somewhat unrepentant. Authoritarian Nixon loyalists stood by their guy, and one named Roger Stone would be rewarded for his loyalty to a future criminal president.
The Reagan Revolution handed the levers of power to Wall Street and the military industrial complex. The Reagan Administration was rife with crooks and corruption. The Iran/Contra criminals evaded justice and were pardoned. They got away with it. Ollie North became a media celebrity.
The Republican Party was unrepentant. And Bill Clinton chose unity, joined the Republicans in cutting safety nets and said, “The era of big government is over”.
Then the Party of Cheney started a war based on lies, detained people without charges and counsel, and tortured them. The Republican Party’s march against democracy was goose-stepping towards their triumph of the will…and they got away with it.
The Republican Party was unrepentant. Obama chose unity and to “look forward”.
Then Trump said he would bring back torture, called for the imprisonment of his opponent, and invited Russia to help him attack Hillary.
Trump’s racist birtherism and nationalism united racists, white nationalists, and uneducated gullible white people into the largest cult in our history. Trump’s corrupt and criminal cronies were pardoned and coddled.
I thought of the incident when I read years ago about Texas Governor Rick Perry. He had been too lazy to glance through a report proving the innocence of a man on death row. He allowed that innocent man to be executed. He blocked a later report about the fatal miscarriage of justice.
I thought about it again after President Obama, in a ceremony with the Prime Minister of Japan, made a few innocuous remarks about respect for human diversity. Donald Trump, just elected, not yet President, reacted with anger at what he called Obama’s “inflammatory comments.” Trump apologists were apoplectic. How dare he attack the incoming President!
