  1. They just keep asking for a un-civil war……My friend had dibs on rush…..now ted nugent will do…

  2. “Pay attention to how they speak of Rush Limbaugh today. That’s how they feel about you.” – Journalist and political commentator Mike Cernovich

Yep, the tolerant and compassionate left show their true colors yet again. But it is the right that keeps asking for an “un-civil war”?

    1. Let’s see. Making fun of a dear departed bigot after his death on the one hand.
On the other: Killing police officers while attempting to assassinate legislators in a failed coup attempt.

Yeah, let’s focus on the never-make-fun-of-the-dead standard for judging tolerance and compassion.

      1. Let’s understand what this is all about.

Why can’t the Left be tolerant and compassionate, like Rush Limbaugh and Mike Cernovich?

Mike “Diversity is code for white genocide” Cernovitch is a “journalist” who sounds just like Limbaugh. Or worse. Cernovich was a host on the extremist conspiracy-loaded Alex Jones Show and promoted the QAnon Pizzgate conspiracy, along with other horrible lies about “child sex-trafficking Democrats”.

This means he’s a real journalist and vital proponent of conservative thought. He will tell you how much those Leftists hate you, just like they hate Rush Limbaugh. It goes like this:

“Just watch, they’ll call Rush an angry, far Right propagandist, a bigot and a liar. And that means they’re calling YOU an angry, far Right propagandist, a bigot and a liar.

That’s how THEY FEEL about YOU! THEY HATE America and THEY HATE YOU for loving America!”

Isn’t that the message? Isn’t that the FEEL of it?

You see? That’s the problem with the Left. They have no decency, and no respect for tolerant and compassionate journalism.

  3. Burr, my friend, I am afraid I must reject your initial premise.

Can you provide any evidence that Mr. Limbaugh was bigoted or racist? Or are you simply relying upon the longstanding leftist evidence-free assertion of this? Rush was a conservative, ergo he must also be a racist, correct?

Rush, over the intermittent times I happened to listen in over the last 30 years, never issued any statements or attitudes that I ever heard which a reasonable person could construe as being racist.
Indeed, James Golden (AKA Bo Snerdly) has been a very close friend, producer, and call screener for his show for decades. He is also a black conservative. Rush has had close friendships with many professional sports players and celebrities that also were people of color. He had a long friendship with Justice Clarence Thomas, who even conducted his previous marriage at Thomas’ Virginia home for Rush.

I guess all of these people of color didn’t know that Rush Limbaugh “was a racist”. Or perhaps, they, like Rush, chose their friendships based on the content of the other’s character instead of the color of their skins.

As for your non sequitur regarding the compassion owed towards murdered officers protecting our capitol and legislators, was this notion ever challenged? The idea seems inarguable to me. Further, I haven’t heard any decent person regardless of their political views think otherwise. This includes Rush. Am I missing something, my friend?

I for one, have never advocated for a un-civil or civil war amongst my fellow Americans, even when their behavior was perniciously unlawful. But what do I know? I am just a conservative racist, authoritarian, and enemy of democracy according to many leftists. (Including leftists that read and contribute articles to your blog, my friend.)

    1. Thank you, Darrell.

You and I are long-time friends, and I’m happy your sensitive ears were not bruised.
You must have missed the program where he said this to a Black female caller:
Take that bone out of your nose and call me back.
      Or when he casually remarked:
Have you ever noticed how all composite pictures of wanted criminals resemble Jesse Jackson?
      Or
The NFL all too often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons. There, I said it.
      Or
The NAACP should have riot rehearsal. They should get a liquor store and practice robberies.
      Or
They’re 12 percent of the population. Who the hell cares?

How am I doing so far?

Remember his humorous song? Barack the Magic Negro?
The reason he went off the televised NFL review program? That Philadelphia Phillies quarterback Donovan McNabb was overrated because he was black.
His thoughts on what Condoleezza Rice has called “America’s birth defect”?
If any race of people should not have guilt about slavery, it’s Caucasians.

How about his thoughts on Native Americans?
Holocaust 90 million Indians? Only four million left? They all have casinos, what’s to complain about?

Ethnocentrism is bigotry, is it not?
Let the unskilled jobs that take absolutely no knowledge whatsoever to do — let stupid and unskilled Mexicans do that work.

Were you listening to the regular segment finding the name of someone who had died from AIDS and celebrating on air?
      Must not have.

You do remember birtherism, right? And the regular reference to Barack Obama as a Halfrican American?
In Obama’s America, the white kids now get beat up with the Black kids cheering.

I did offer a prayer for him when illness and addiction overtook.
They were not his fault. They were not some sort of Karma. They were not God’s punishment.

      But bigotry?
      Come on, man.

  4. Trey, while I certainly don’t deny there has been horrible behavior from some folks on the right towards the left, you must admit that this is reciprocated and often instigated at least on an equal basis from the left. If not, then I would submit that you are a part of the problem, sir.

Surely you aren’t asserting that the left is innocent in this and is only the recipient of the incivility of the right, are you?

    1. “Can you provide any evidence that Mr. Limbaugh was bigoted or racist?”

      Wow.

Someone never listened to the Rush Limbaugh show.

It’s easy to find for yourself and you’d know all about his attitude toward minorities and others if you bothered to look for it.

Jesus, man. His freaking wiki page has a section devoted to it. Good grief.

“you must admit that this is reciprocated and often instigated at least on an equal basis from the left.”

No. No I mustn’t. I’m not going to validate your false dichotomy.

” If not, then I would submit that you are a part of the problem, sir.”

And if I don’t agree with your ridiculous assertion, than you declare I’m part of the problem. Yes. It was I. Trey. It was Trey who helped to drive “conservatives” and Trump supporters to invade the Capitol. All because I, Trey, reject the assertion that all sides are the same and do the same things to the same intensity and there’s no nuance and no difference between people chanting Black Lives Matter and F the Police and another group of people declaring Jews Will Not Replace Us and Hang Mike Pence.

Sorry, America. This one’s on me.

“Surely you aren’t asserting that the left is innocent in this and is only the recipient of the incivility of the right, are you?”

My assertion was an answer to your question. Your question was ‘But it is the right that keeps asking for an “un-civil war”? As a reminder my response was in the affirmative. While I watched the insurrection live on TV all day on January 6th and all the footage from the rioters that was posted online, there was quite the common thread of declaring that it was round 2 or ‘This is 1776!’ or whatever other metaphors those morons regurgitated from their online communities. I do not believe your original question involved the innocence of the left, however I am fairly certain “the left” had nothing to do with Trump’s “Save America Rally” or Charlottesville or the Bundy’s or the terrorists wanting to kidnap Governor Whitmer. Well, you know, other than existing I guess. They are guilty of being made the scapegoat and the enemy of a group of people that so desperately want to blame others for every wrong and ill they experience or perceive.

I’m sorry you hate me and a sizable portion of your fellow citizens for reasons you can’t explain. I mean, I can explain it. But, like with Rush’s bigotry, you’ll conveniently ignore it while whining about meanie head leftists making fun of the dead.

  5. Trey,
Didn’t someone once say, “Racism isn’t racism to racists”?

I have no idea what that means, though. It makes no sense at all.

This might only encourage the next nonsensical statement like, “Bigotry isn’t bigotry to bigots”.

Or, “Ignorance isn’t ignorance to the ignorant”.

Or, “Insurrection isn’t insurrection to the insurrectionist”.

According to Darrell, the “Coup Klux Klan” who stormed the Capitol are simply random common “thugs”. They are NOT radical Right terrorists, or racists, and probably not even Trump supporters. At any rate their actions pale before all the violent leftist coups we’ve seen. In fact Trump had nothing to do with their behavior and saw no reason to stop them, as he watched them on TV while calling Republicans to overturn the election. It’s not like he was praising them for their attempted coup and openly pushing the Big Lie that was their motive.

As a man of God, Trump was merely showing compassion for them. “We had an election that was stolen from us.” “You’ve seen what happens, you’ve seen the way others are treated that are so bad and so evil. I know how you feel.” And “We love you”, and “You’re very special”, and “Go home in peace” and “Remember this day forever!”

And for all that mercy and empathy shown by Donald, the evil Leftists impeached him and held an unconstitutional Constitutionally mandated trial.

Just because the Constitution says, “The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments”, that doesn’t mean ALL impeachments. It’s quite clear about that.

Another witch hunt based on facts and evidence. Not fair! Trump and his supporters are always, always the real victims. Just ask Trump and the insurrectionists, er, I mean “thugs”.

Darrell believes in the thugs’ motive, the Big Lie, but not in their actions. For Darrell is a good and decent man who wisely trusts the word of Donald Trump over the voters, electoral college, secretaries of states, state certification boards, lower courts, appellate courts, and the Supreme Court.

We’re lucky to have Darrell and Trump around to tell us the truth. But are we grateful? Nope.

Stupid brainwashed Leftists. Stupid brainwashed libs. Stupid brainwashed moderates. Stupid brainwashed RINO Republicans. Stupid brainwashed fake news. Stupid brainwashed voters. Stupid brainwashed electoral college. Stupid brainwashed secretaries of states. Stupid brainwashed state certification boards. Stupid brainwashed lower courts. Stupid brainwashed appellate courts. And stupid brainwashed Supreme Court.

We’re all hopelessly stupid and brainwashed. How will we ever be informed, truthful, tolerant and compassionate, like Rush Limbaugh and Mike Cernovich?

I’m afraid we’re all a lost cause. Sad.
