From Tommy Christopher:

JUST IN: Trump Fans Who Harassed Mitt Romney and Lindsey Graham Put On a No-Fly List

In the Before Time that was last Tuesday, Romney was accosted at an airport by a persistent Trump fan who lambasted him while filming the incident, and was greeted on the plane by a crowd of Trump fans chanting “Traitor!”

Romney was targeted because of his expressed intent to allow the pro forma certification of President-elect Joe Biden’s Electoral College victory.

Two days after that formality was interrupted by Trump insurrectionists who engaged in deadly violence at the Capitol, Graham was mobbed by Trump supporters, chanting “Traitor!” as well.

At the tail end of an interview with Reuters, Delta Air Lines CEO Ed Bastian said that passengers involved in those incidents have been banned from flying with the airline…

  1. Yeah, it has consequences alright. Unless you are a leftist aided and abetted by the leftist propagandists parading as the press. Then there is a completely different standard…. but then we all knew that, right?

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) previously stated, “If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.”

Sen. Cory Booker encouraged people to “get up in the face of some congresspeople.”

Nicolle Wallace encouraged Jeb Bush to punch Trump in the face.

Madonna thought about blowing up the White House.

Actor Johnny Depp commented about assassinating a president.

If it weren’t for double standards, the militant left (which sadly encompasses way too many formerly decent Democrats) would not have any standards at all.

    1. I was going to type a lengthy response, but I got too tired from all the eye rolling this comment had me doing.

    2. If Darrell could only break free of Trump’s Big Lie about a stolen election. Instead he supports the cause of the insurrectionists. He drank and regurgitated the koolade from the dismissed absurd Texas lawsuit from a crooked Texan looking for a pardon.

“The probability of former Vice President Biden winning the popular vote in the four Defendant States—Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin—independently given President Trump’s early lead in those States as of 3 a.m. on November 4, 2020, is less than one in a quadrillion, or 1 in 1,000,000,000,000,000. For former Vice President Biden to win these four States collectively, the odds of that event happening decrease to less than one in a quadrillion to the fourth power (i.e., 1 in 1,000,000,000,000,000^4). See Decl. of Charles J. Cicchetti, Ph.D. “

      This is their trusted “expert”.

Is there nothing too far-fetched for the Trump cult? Apparently not.

The assumptions behind the wild claim didn’t quite reflect reality. One depended on mail -in ballots being as pro-Trump as the in-person voting of the day. Sorry. It was the same across the country. Biden voters preferred mail-in ballots. Remember the removal of sorting machines from the Post Office? Remember Trump’s claim of mail-in ballot fraud? Remember “Stop the count”?

      So, there you go.

      Here’s a : breakdown

  2. Trey, please tell me where I am wrong. Please explain to me that there is really not a double standard. Even Biden wanted to take Trump “out back of the gym”.

As for Dave’s comments, he is always good at not answering questions that are inconvenient to his agenda. He just “asks” the questions.

    1. Fine. The lengthy response I wanted to avoid, because I don’t actually expect you to consider my words to come from good faith, despite my good faith intensions.

Why? I can not tell you anything, because you know better Darrell.

That’s your entire attitude when engaging in these conversations. You know better, so why ask that I tell you where you are wrong? I shouldn’t have to explain severity, differences, nuance and context to you. You are clearly not interested in the notable differences in cherry picked instances of perceived hypocrisy. I can not debate this with you because you don’t want a debate. Because nothing I can say will sway your convinced mind.

As our now former President stoked the flames of insurrection that led to a mob of idiots to storm our Capitol, you continued your keyboard warrior’s battle cry to remain vigilant against the “Leftist” “Marxist” Horde. The Alt-Right, “Conservative” and “Right-Wing” attack on peaceful transition of power was right there unfolding before us live on television, but hold the faith Americans. It’s really the “left”, with their belief in women’s rights, racial equality and equity, and fairness for all Americans that are something we need to steel ourselves against.

People that have been lied to for years by “conservative” propagandists like Limbaugh and Hannity and then by actual elected opportunisits- I mean- officials like your boy Ted Cruz and Donald Trump started harrassing other elected officials because they dared to speak or vote in a way different from the marching orders of Donald Trump.

That is a far cry from the fact that Maxine Waters encouraged people to get in peoples’ faces over the SEPARATING FAMILIES AT THE BORDER. Something that ACTUALLY occurred under the Trump Administration.

Or Cory Booker talking about political activism to a group of people dedicated to ending HOMELESSNESS. You know all political activism isn’t marching in the street and breaking down the doors of Congress, right?

or Nicholle Wallace encouraging Jeb Bush to, in a very antiquated way, defend the honor of his wife after Trump disparaged his wife during a televised debate.

or Madonna being hyperbolic at a fiery demonstration, and in the context of all that she said was not advocating for the actual blowing up of the White House.

or Johnny Depp making poor attempt at what he called a joke.

Look. I get it. You got that list of whataboutism from one of your preferred sources of- we’ll charitably refer to it as- information. Donald Trump and the Republicans are your people. Your team. I get it. But all of those things you listed as some kind of weird ass counter-arguement? They were either purposefully taken out of context or poorly received, harmless words.

The people harrassing Romney and Graham? From being constantly bombarded by the same lies and misinformation that you consume, Darrell.

I can not combat that. I can’t tell you anything. You work backwards. You come to a conclusion and you work to justify it that way. I start at the beginning and move forward.

“Getting in the faces” of people is a LONG WAYS AWAY from marching on the fucking Capitol, erecting gallows, occupying State houses, chanting death threats, posting death threats online, and exercising a severe degree of entitlement by live-streaming treason all over the internet.

Jesus Christ, Darrell. What happened to you? It’s okay to be wrong. It takes a strong person to admit fault and an even stronger person to make changes to be better. You look ridiculous digging your heels into the sand of this weird ass hill you’re willing to die for.

Apologies to Aunt Tildy and the other readers of Fair and Unbalanced for some select choices in language. Also a note to the readers of Fair and Unbalanced. If quotes out of context don’t pass the smell test? Just google them. My God, how dare Cory Booker tell people to actively engage their congress people to come up with solutions to the homeless crisis.

  3. Trey, I appreciate your comment, even though the superiority and condescension just drips from every word you wrote. But I am the one that “cannot be convinced” and “knows better”. Yes, I suspect neither one of us will sway the opinions of the other.

With all due respect, your defense of the examples I gave as matters of “severity, differences, and context” comes off as rather weak, sir. After all, if it were Lindsay Graham instead of Corey Booker urging people to get up into the faces of congresspeople in defense of an issue, I wonder if you would be as charitable to him?

If Louis Gohmert told his constituents to harass Obama administration folks because they were insisting that nuns must purchase health insurance with birth control by saying, “If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they’re not welcome anymore anywhere”, would you be as understanding? Or would that be different?

It is okay for sick “jokes” like Kathy Griffin to hold up Trump’s severed head but I bet you would have been outraged if Jeff Foxworthy held up Obama’s or Biden’s.

Yeah, I strongly suspect the “severity, differences, and context” of which you speak is largely dependent upon whether it is a leftist or a conservative that is the offender. The other nuances are pretty much irrelevant, sir.

    1. Darrell’s victim card and false equivalence again. Democrats are “just as bad” as Trump’s mob of terrorists. It annoys Darrell when someone says a violent mob attack on the Capitol was worse than Kathy Griffin. Not fair!

No Trump official was harmed by Waters’ inappropriate suggestion, but Trump’s response escalated the issue with a racist insult and a lie that she “called for harm”.

“Congresswoman Maxine Waters, an extraordinarily low IQ person, has become, together with Nancy Pelosi, the Face of the Democrat Party. She has just called for harm to supporters, of which there are many, of the Make America Great Again movement. Be careful what you wish for Max!”

And speaking of Trump. Darrell has absolved his Dear Leader of any responsibility for his supporters’ terrorist attack on the Capitol:

“Further, that terrorism was evidently planned well in advance of Trump’s speech, so he did not “cause” these thugs to riot as the leftist hypocritical media has stated and LIED about AGAIN.”

Yes. It was ALL the media’s fault. Trump only called them together at that time and place, “Be there, will be wild!” He only urged them to “March to the Capitol”, “Fight like hell”, “Stop the steal”, and “take back our country”.

And Darrell still embraces the same Big Lie that ignited the worst terrorist attack on our democracy.

You see, he and Trump are still the victims in all this. Darrell believes Trump won and the election was stolen. This dangerous lie is now smeared in blood. And Darrell still believes it. “Look! It’s the enemies of the people! It’s all their fault! THEY are the liars! Not Trump!”

Darrell will carry Trump’s Big Lie to the grave. Until then, he will poison others with it.

A cult is not a cult to a cult.

  4. Darrell,
For the life of me, I don’t know what you’re talking about. What question did I answer with a question?

I do know you have accused me of lies without explanation or facts that would support your accusations.

And now I stand accused of being “good at not answering questions that are inconvenient to his agenda”.

And what do you believe is my “agenda”? I don’t expect answers, because I understand your projection.

My only agenda above was to examine your wild claim and to find the truth. You never cited the source of that “expert analysis” so I had to look it up.

My agenda is to always seek truth and gain understanding. My agenda is to challenge lies and liars. My agenda is to oppose attacks and transgressions against representative democracy, equal justice under law, and decency.

My agenda is to support public safety, public education and public healthcare.

My agenda is to support Constitutional taxes on the wealthy, Constitutional regulation of corporate commerce and Constitutional provision for the general welfare.

But you probably think my agenda is a Marxist revolution bent on imposing a Stalinist regime. This is what your propagandists are always telling you.

It still looks to me that I addressed your “expert analysis” with logic, facts and evidence that show how far off base your “expert analysis” really was. Among desultory and unsubstantiated allegations and claims, this “expert analysis” is what you presented to justify Trump’s Big Lie about the election being stolen.

And did you even consider the examination of that claim for a second? I highly doubt it. The only thing worse than ignorance is willful ignorance. The only thing worse than believing a lie is refusing to look at the truth.

Your beliefs are no different from Trump’s terrorist traitors. Yet you won’t question that belief. You trust the words of Donald Trump and his stooges over every state certification board, every court that dismissed the bogus cases, and the voices of millions of American voters. Voters whose votes YOU want to cancel.

Trey understands the conservative mindset. Since they BELIEVE they have all the answers, they have no need to consider contradictory evidence, or what others say. And you have shown this to be the case.

Closed minds and lies have NEVER made America great.
