Holy Bible as Prop, Historic House of Worship as Staging Backdrop

Peaceful, Lawful, Protesters Attacked with Teargas and Priest Ordered Away from Church
to Clear Way for This

  1. It is amazing that leftists are more concerned with President Trump standing in front of St. John’s Church than they are with the disgusting rioters that damaged that same church for “justice’s sake”.

Oh, and the police and secret service authorities have stated from the beginning that no tear gas was used to disperse the “peaceful rioters”.

I guess we don’t want the facts to get in the way of our preconceived notions and political agenda thought, do we?

    1. Thank you for your comment, Tyrell.
You may be correct and clergy who were watching may be wrong.

US Park Police do say they only used smoke canisters, horses, and personnel in military combat gear, to forcibly clear out protesters who were peaceably assembled in Lafayette Square.

As of yesterday there was no response from other police authorities about whether they used teargas.

Minutes before the assault on the peaceful, lawful protesters, President Trump threatened to use military force across the nation if Governors did not dominate the protests. It is possible the canister explosions that could be heard from Lafayette Square during that Rose Garden speech were not tear gas as had been reported, but smoke canisters instead. This was to clear out protesters so Trump could make his dramatic walk in front of news cameras.

As I understand it, a priest was also forced off church property so Trump could have his photo op.

You seem extraordinarily concerned about what which type of canister was exploded on orders from the White House. The protestors were following the first amendment, and peaceably assembling. Whether teargas or smoke explosions were used against protesters, we agree, do we not, that this violation of the basic American right to protest, a violation for the sake of a photo op, was wrong.

The Bishop responsible for the church was outraged by the entire spectacle, as well as this profane use of a Holy book in front of a sacred place of worship.

The violation of democratic rights is apparent to any patriot.
Any devout Christian or reasonably informed non-Christian should be able to explain to you, Tyrell, why this terrible use of sacred symbols is especially painful to followers of Jesus.

      Don’t be afraid to ask.

    2. “It is amazing that leftists are more concerned with President Trump standing in front of St. John’s Church than they are with the disgusting rioters that damaged that same church for “justice’s sake”.”

It is amazing that “rightists” have no concern with the abuse and disregard for the reportedly peaceful protestors’, not rioters, First Amendment right to peacably assemble. They also don’t find irony in the fact that mere minutes before the forced ejection of peaceful protestors, our President declared himself the Law and Order President. Wanton disregard and trampling of rights guaranteed in the 1st Amendment seems counter to his desire to be the Law and Order President.

What I find really disgusting is the cognitive dissonance required to lump looters and rioters in with the groups around the country protesting peacefully. What I find really disgusting is that the Photo-Op was completely unnecessary, since the very next freaking day, he had one at the St. Pope John-Paul II Shrine. What I find disgusting is the President’s weird-as-hell pandering to Religious groups in such a obvious-as-hell way and the blind support this garners. What I find disgusting is the threat of using military force on American citizens. What I find really disgusting is all of my 2nd Amendment Loving friends will take their guns and march on State Houses because of the inconvenience of Stay-at-Home Orders and wearing of masks to stymy the spread of an incurable virus, but when the President threatens State Governments with the US Military because riots make him look bad, they are silent, or complicit, or cheering him on. Or maybe I’m now disgusted by Tyrell putting quotes around “justice’s sake” when dismissing legitimate issues people are angry enough about to burn down a damn church.

We have to remember, “rightists” think armed men marching into State Houses and screaming at cops about having to do their civic duty in not spreading incurable disease is A-O-F’ing-Kay, but people, ONCE AGAIN, protesting and rioting over police brutality and the right to not be murdered simply for being a shade darker than eggshell is disgusting and warrants the actual Executive Overreach “rightists” groused about Obama committing.

Oh, I could go on about what disgusts me about what’s going on and, honestly, buildings being burnt to the ground and merchandise being stolen that are all, or should be, insured isn’t one of them.

And I use quotation marks around “rightists” because these people aren’t on the “right” side of the political spectrum. They’re contrarian for the sake of being a contrarian. A “leftist” would want to cut freaking taxes to 0% and they’d find something to bitch about and call it “Communism” or, I guess the new scary fascistic scapegoat is “Antifa”.
