Both of his infamous actions were borne not only out of passion, but also out of deceit and trickery. We justifiably call Lee Atwater and Karl Rove on the carpet for lying and dirty campaigning. I see O'Keefe as attempting to carry on their methodology to an even higher level, but this one also reflects O'Keefe's self-centered desire for greater notoriety.
