Tha fact that Broun is running unopposed is an indictment of his constituents. They deserve the guy they elect. Unfortunately, the rest of us do not.

We also cannot forget Georgia Rep. Paul Broun, who believes that evolution, embryology, and the Big Bang theory are lies from the "pit of hell"; who believes the Earth is 9000 years old and was created in six days; who sits on the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology; who is a medical doctor; and who is running unopposed by Democrats.

I suspect you are right, Ryan. They think that no matter how much they dislike Romney, he is still better than Obama. Hell, that's the way I feel. No matter what shortcomings Obama has, he is way better than Romney.

Everyone else in the election is of no consequence. They have no chance of winning. If you are voting for a third party candidate, you might as well stay home and save the gas as far as the presidential race is concerned.

Whether or not Republicans acknowledge and care about his ignorance probably has no bearing on their support for him now. At this point, it is Democrat vs. Republican, not Republican vs. Republican. Character matters, but not as much as policy.
