I have a theory about Mitt Romney's gas price claim that gas cost $1.80-ish in 2008. I remember gas being much more expensive than that.

But Mitt is talking about prices at the end of the year.

Gas prices fell through the floor in September through December (I have a hunch this was because it became clear that Obama was going to win the election)
