Introduction, Traditional Service,

St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Florissant, MO
When the injustice seems too strong,
we will not dwell in the darkness of despair.
We refuse to live in the emptiness of apathy.
When we take a stand for what is fair,
when we defend the weak against the strong,
we send out a tiny ray of hope.
The arc of the moral universe
bends toward justice,
and a time will come when tiny rays of hope
will join together in a bright new day.
The tie of love that binds us
in a fellowship of kindred minds
is the living vision of God’s coming dawn.
