We pray for vision and we search our hearts
for Jesus in our world, and in our lives.
We look to scripture, and we read
of a broken, beaten man on the side of the road.
The story is repeated in a thousand ways
in every age and place:
The orphaned, the homeless, the fragile
and the Samaritan who may find them.
It is about the one we worship and about us.
We are the traveler who sees Jesus,
wounded, and in pain, and left behind.
And we decide to go to the Son of God
or to continue on our journey without him.
