Introduction, Traditional Service, July 29, 2012
St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Florissant, MO
God has given me sight, and I am grateful
for the beauty of God’s world.
God has given me a vision, and I am grateful
for the part I have in God’s plan.
God has given me life, and I am grateful
for endless possibility,
for a path if I will follow,
for a home at the end of the journey,
for that journey home.
Most of all, I am grateful
because God sees value in me
that I cannot see myself,
that can’t be touched by what I do or what I say,
a value greater than my failures.
When possessions blind me
and my vision clouds,
I am grateful for God’s healing,
for the path,
for the home,
for what God sees in me.
That I am forgiven.
