We did not decide that Jesus would suffer and die.
He chose to give himself for us
and for all humanity.
We did not decide that Jesus would live again.
God raised him up
to walk among us, to teach us, to deliver us.
We do not chose compassion
for the least of these,
to comfort those who are afflicted,
to stand with those who are alone.
Our God put Jesus in our world,
and in our lives, and in our hearts.
We do not choose to be saved.
I have decided to follow Jesus
because Jesus decided on me.
