A Cheer for Socialized Medicine

I'm for capitalism. I think it provides prosperity and freedom beyond that of any other economic system in most areas.

But I am for socialism in some areas. For example, I'm for socialized road work, and socialized sidewalks. I'm for socialized police protection, and I'm for socialized fire departments. I'm for socialized national defense. I kind of like universal education for children.

I'm for universal health care as well.
I think it is likely to pretty much benefit everyone.
