The New York Times has an article about the death by overdose of Paul Horner who claimed to have written all kinds of fake news appearing on social media and fraudulent news websites. Stories about paid protesters – which you believed. Stories you shared and stories you won’t give up on because you’d hate to have to admit you’ve been duped and besides, you hate Hillary anyway.
Remember the one about her having a terminal illness? Maybe that one was Russian, I don’t know. I’ve been rummaging through some image files I’ve kept over the years and came up with one about how most murderers are black and it sure looks real until you read the source which is fake. I think people “shared” that with me at least a dozen times – but it goes way back.
