Wondering why a few conservative friends are less than impressed.

  1. Can anyone imagine a picture like this one with Trump? Nope, neither can I!

    1. I dunno, Jerry. We’ll have to ask my good friend T. Paine.

He seems to have an extraordinarily expansive imagination.
      All encompassing, really.

  2. Ah, “Obamaphones”.

This is a clever jab from Mr. Paine referring to a famous far Right Resentment of the Month. Oh, they were hot and bothered by poor folks getting more “free stuff” from that no good Obama. That can only mean MY tax dollars are going to those lazy takers! Grrr.

So the funny part is Mr. Paine’s mocking one of the many conservative resentments based on a false belief.

That is funny on so many levels. Obama never started such a program. LOL!

Low-income households have been eligible for discounted telephone service for more than a decade. The program is funded by telecom companies, not by taxes, and the president has nothing to do with it. The program is overseen by the Federal Communications Commission, and has its roots in a universal access initiative that began in 1985, during Ronald Reagan’s administration.

Ronald Reagan would be a Hollywood Liberal in today’s Republican Party.

Compassionate and informed conservatives know unemployed people need phones to get a job, right? Of course they do.
