They Might as Well Learn Right Away

From Wisconsin conservative James Wigderson:

I have a simple rule: I criticize politicians when they’re wrong, and I praise them when they’re right. That applies regardless of party, regardless of personalities, and it also applies regardless of experience.

If you don’t correct a puppy when you’re potty training them, you’re going to have a lot of “accidents” in the house. It’s the same with politicians.

  1. “I have a simple rule: I criticize politicians when they’re wrong, and I praise them when they’re right. That applies regardless of party, regardless of personalities, and it also applies regardless of experience.”

AMEN! Oh how I wish more conservatives would follow this guideline, and for seemingly ANY progressives to ever do so.

  2. Amen to the Amen.

And how I wish more liberals would follow this guideline, and for seemingly ANY conservative to ever do so.

I’m just kidding, of course. We liberals are amazingly unable to disagree with whatever Democrats do and say.

We have a comment policy (sort of)

We often encounter extreme amounts of spam targeting more controversial posts. This tends to annoy and confuse Aunt Tildy. If your comment is accidentally omitted, please help her out by resubmitting, perhaps including a note telling us what happened. If you find comments closed, we can still put yours in its proper place. Just attach to another post with an explanation.

Aunt Tildy appreciates most every comment. Truly. But she has what could be an unrealistic view of the innocence of younger readers. She may hesitate when profanity becomes extreme.

In some cases, you might follow our lead. When we ruffle her delicate sensibilities, a soft apology has usually helped.
